The Statewide Blended Regular Standing program offers both full and part-time options. Course work is completed primarily asynchronous online with predetermined monthly (Saturday) synchronous Zoom sessions. All students attend New Student Orientation in August on the East Lansing campus. The Statewide Blended Program has a fall start for required classes with classes occurring year-round. Students complete a minimum of 57-credits and four semesters of field for a total of 960 field hours.


Field Education

Students are in field for 16 hours a week scheduled during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday). Field education is conducted during the fall and spring semesters. Students who have long-term employment in a qualified social work organization may be eligible to complete the first two semesters of the field education requirement within their employing institution. Areas of Specialization

Students choose either a Clinical Practice or an Organizational Community Leadership (OCL) area of specialization. All courses required for both concentrations are offered in the Statewide Blended format.
