Program snapshot
The East Lansing Regular Program combines primarily face-to-face coursework with four semesters of field education. Students may complete the program full time in two years or part time in three years.
The student experience
Orientation
All students attend orientation in August on MSU’s East Lansing campus.
Coursework
Required courses begin in the fall, with most classes offered during the fall and spring semesters.
Campus format
Most classes meet during the day in East Lansing, with some evening courses available.
Field education
Students complete 960 total field hours during the fall and spring semesters. Placements require 16 hours each week during normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Areas of specialization
Students select one of two areas of specialization while following either the two-year full-time or three-year part-time plan.
