    Under the supervision of the Director of the School of Social Work, the MSW Program Director will have the responsibility for leading and further shaping this innovative MSW program to ensure that it is implemented in a way that reflects the School of Social Work mission and values. We hope you can find the answers to your questions by reading some of the information below. About You: Are you wondering whether this would be a good fit for you? Here are a few questions you should ask yourself as you continue your search: Do I consider myself a patient person? What does it look like when I get overwhelmed? Do I respect ALL people — even on MY hard days? (We all have them; it’s ok! Do I like working with a team of people who are all committed to the same goal? What you'll be doing: Maintain face to face contact with families according to the contract defined frequency and the individual needs of the family. Provide skills training using the Nurturing Parent curriculum, including but not limited to: physical and emotional aspects of child development; communication; setting limits and child management; alternatives to corporal punishment; active listening; conflict resolution; family rules; helping children with feelings; etc. Refer families/make collateral contact to community services. Prepare written reports to DHHS as required within the expected time frames. Safety plan with families to reduce risk Observe and respond to early signs of abuse and neglect Assure stable transportation plan, including transport in your own vehicle as necessary. What'll You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human service field; Prior to serving families, complete a training program, provided by a certified Nurturing Parent trainer, that teaches the philosophy of Nurturing Parenting and how to implement and facilitate the program. Minimum one experience working in human services
