We want to offer opportunities for our Organizations and Agencies to connect with our students. Here are a few ways in which you can connect with both MSU Master of Social Work Alumni and Students. We have a few options for those interested.
Sponsored Information Recruitment Sessions
If you would like to hold a recruiting event, you can reserve a time to hold a sponsored lunch for our students where we get to meet them. We can offer space for you to engage with our students. Here would discuss the following areas of your organization or agency.
- Mission and Purpose
- Program Offerings
- Role of social workers in your organization
- Benefits your organization offers
- Q&A with our students

Informational Interviews with Agencies/Organizations
We are offering opportunities for Agencies and Organizations who would like to connect with our students and alumni by providing informational interviews to those who are interested in exploring other areas of social work. If interested, we ask that you are open to having a conversation about the work you do, the impact your organization has in the community, the role of social workers at your workplace, salary information, and any benefits you offer. Please use the link below to sign up for this list and allow 5-7 business days for your submission to be processed. This will launch in Fall 2024. Spring Career Fair
Every Spring we will be collaborating with the Career Services Network to put on a career fair. This will include a wide range of areas in social work. From clinical practice to more macro social work. You will be connected to the Career Services Network which will make sure you are successful in your participation.

Become a Field Instructor or Field Faculty Liaison
One way to recruit students post-graduation is to become a field placement site. The School has BASW and MSW students in field placements across Michigan, and community members teach and mentor these students as field instructors and field faculty liaisons.
