Accreditation context
Reporting mastery across professional competencies.
All Council on Social Work Education programs measure and report student learning outcomes. Students are assessed on their mastery of the competencies within CSWE accreditation standards—dimensions of practice that social workers are expected to master during professional training.
The program reports its most recent assessment outcomes to constituents and the public using Form AS 4(B) and/or Form AS 4(M), publishes the findings on its website and updates them at least every two years.
How mastery is defined: The program sets a benchmark for each competency. A score of at least 3 points on both the behavioral and overall competency measures represents mastery of that competency.
Form used: AS4(M), reporting aggregated findings for the OCL area of specialized practice.
