CURRENT RESEARCH

• Kinship Network Development, Empowerment and Resilience & Connection and Relationship Enhancement through Shared Parenting (KINDER-CARES) Program. A partnership between Spaulding for Children, Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, and the Michigan State University School of Social Work to develop, implement and evaluate a pilot program in Macomb County, Michigan to promote shared (cooperative) parenting between foster children’s birth parents and temporary caregivers and to provide comprehensive support services for relatives caring for foster children. Funded by the U.S. Children’s Bureau. 2021-2026.
