Emily Bremer (she/her) earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2006. She then worked in program development and evaluation in the non-profit sector with a focus on services for populations experiencing trauma and violence. In 2020, Emily completed an MSW with a clinical specialty from Wayne State University. For the past five years, she has worked in clinical practice, specializing in mental health and trauma within families. Her dual experience in macro and clinical work informs her research interests.
INTERESTS
Expanding interventions for families affected by trauma or violence, finding novel ways to interrupt intergenerational trauma and enhancing community support for vulnerable parents and families.
