Flint Advanced Standing Program

Classes are mostly face-to-face and take place on the Mott Community College campus.

Classes are offered during the evening.

First required classes start in the Summer with face-to-face and/or online classes.

Students complete a minimum of 36-credits and three semesters of field education for a total of 500 field hours.

Students are in field for 16 hours a week scheduled during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday). Field education is conducted during the Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. Part-time students are in field during their second year. Visit our Field Education home page for more information.

Full-time (2-year) and part-time (3-year) options are available.

Students choose either a Clinical Practice or an Organizational Community Leadership (OCL) area of specialization. All courses required for the Clinical Practice concentration are offered in Flint. Students who choose the Organization and Community Leadership (OCL) specialization are required to complete SW 865 and SW 866 in a blended format with the Weekend program. These courses consist of 4 face-to-face Saturday classes each semester at the Henry Center in Lansing, MI.
