Program Requirements

Application Deadline: January 10

In addition to the standard requirements for the Michigan State University MSW program (see Admissions information) successful applicants for the Statewide Blended Clinical MSW Program must:

  • live more than 50 miles from BOTH the East Lansing AND Flint campuses and, if from out of state, must live within 50 miles of the Michigan border
  • have easy access to high speed Internet service (not dial-up) on a regular basis
  • have at least two years of full-time experience (or equivalent) in the human services out of the last five years, generally after completion of your bachelor's degree
  • complete an online assessment and orientation program on how to learn effectively in the online environment
  • participate in a personal interview
