School Social Work Programs at MSU

The Certificate Program in School Social Work at the MSU School of Social Work is designed for students who wish to work as a School Social Worker upon graduation from the MSU MSW program. In addition, it is formal acknowledgment of your commitment and knowledge in this specialization.

The certificate has additional requirements beyond what is required by the state of Michigan for 310 Recommendation for Temporary Approval as a School Social Worker. Obtaining the certificate is an internal process within the MSU School of Social Work as a means of demonstrating specialization in working in schools.

Completion of the requirements for the certificate will qualify you for a 310 Recommendation for Temporary Approval as a School Social Worker in the state of Michigan.
