Weekend MSW Program

With a Concentration in Organization & Community Practice/Leadership

The Weekend MSW program with a concentration in organization and community practice/leadership is a 3 year part-time hybrid program, combining the best of technology-based learning with face-to-face instruction into a unique weekend format. The program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, essential for licensure.

This leadership focused weekend model will prepare students to practice a wide range of advanced skills for leadership and change management within diverse organizations and communities.

The program includes a field placement component with the possibility of completing some requirements in a setting in which the student is already employed and the possibility of project based field placements when certain criteria are met.  To successfully complete field placements, working students will need some flexibility in scheduling.  They may need to take advantage of flex schedules and/or annual leave available within their employing agency.  Availability during some regular business hours will be necessary.

IMAGINE IF...

  • You could advance your career by completing an MSW degree in a part-time program while keeping your job?

  • You could develop a group of social work student colleagues who are also interested in organization and community leadership for collaboration and support during the MSW program and beyond?

For more information, please contact Tina Blaschke-Thompson with the Weekend MSW Program.
