Welcome!
Social Work is a rewarding profession in which we have the privilege of working with diverse individuals, families, groups, communities and organizations to assist in achieving goals, solving problems and promoting justice. The School of Social Work at Michigan State University is a special place to prepare for this work as it combines the resources of a major university with a personal commitment to each student's learning and professional development. Through our BSW program with its signature theme of diversity, our MSW program with concentrations in clinical practice and organizational and community practice, and our Ph.D program with its dedication to social work leadership enriched by interdisciplinary perspectives, the School of Social Work is an important part of MSU's goals of advancing knowledge and transforming lives.
