This course will describe the challenges associated with ethical decision making in social work practice. Approaches from philosophy will be examined to find relevant guidelines for professional practice. Principles to apply to practice decisions will be extracted from these philosophical approaches. This examination of philosophical approaches will highlight some key points for making an ethical analysis and leading to ethical decision-making.
